   Q. How often should my child take lessons?
The AMAA recommendation is for students to attend at least two sessions per week in order to progress and achieve the maximum success in our program. Two important parts of martial arts are discipline and physical fitness. In order to instill that discipline and physical fitness, students need to workout regularly and build correct habits; and discipline is a habit.

   Q. When do your children's classes meet?
We offer both our "Tiny Warriors" classes and regular children’s classes Monday thru Friday so please call or stop by our studio for a detailed schedule of times. (805) 527-5508 Or you can download our class schedule here.

   Q. How is the rest of the children program?
The duration is about 45 minutes for older children’s group. Their classes are packed with calisthenics, technique lessons and life lessons to instill the right emotional, physical and social foundation for these youngsters to grow and blossom into awesome martial artists. Once again, we maintain a very low student to teacher ratio for beginners. Our student/teacher ratio is always less than 10 to 1 and we actually give even smaller, more personalized lessons for our very newest beginners.

   Q. What is the best age for youngsters to start taking martial arts lessons?
We generally recommend five years old as the best age to start a martial arts training. However, we do have some students as young as four years old who do well. We have classes specifically designed to meet this age group’s specific needs called, "Tiny Warriors" (for kids under seven years of age).
