Hello AMAA families,
Everyone performed really well and our guest judge, Master Hong of TD Taekwondo (La Crescenta) was very impressed with
our Blue/Red/Brown students and with our black belt test. Thank you for making us proud.
Please do not forget that this coming Friday is the award and belt ceremony.
Some of you will be especially honored with special awards and I hope everyone will be there to celebrate together.
We will also announce and introduce 9 new & proud, AMAA black belts,
These young people sacrificed 4 to 5 years of their lives to get to this point.
Many of them were also part of our MDK program and they easily put in 6 hours of training per week.
It is an incredible testimony of their character, parental support, family values and the high standards set by AMAA.
They will do one final encore performance for our members at the belt ceremony.
Congratulations to our well deserving black belts!
I would to thank to our all our instructors who taught Saturday morning classes and endured 8 hours of judging.
Special thanks to our new interim judges; Casey Huessner, Kathy Vasaquez, Tracy Damani, Gwen Duffy and Todd Peterson.
We would like to also thank our volunteer black belts who were there to support, assist and encourage our students.
They truly embody and represent AMAA's philosophy of becoming servant leaders.
We are blessed to have such a fine group of young men and women in the program.
Best Regards,
Derrick Kwak
